Turbo.264 support

I've been using "copy video files in compatible container" but, while it works for Front Row / Apple TV, it doesn't leave me with something I can put on my iPhone. Unfortunately, the iPhone optimized conversion options are pretty slow.

I have a Turbo.264, though, and it looks like VideoDrive is using QuickTime to do the conversion. Would it be possible for it to switch to using the special Turbo.264 versions of the conversion presets when one's present? That would save an awful lot of time... somehow I don't think we'll be seeing an iPhone port of Perian any time soon

I registered to this forum just to post the same idea, so please add another +1 to Tiny's request.

I also have the Turbo.264, and although I'm looking to push some Perian sense into my AppleTV, hence not needing to convert at all, there are other conversions I do (mainly to iPhone) that need some extra hardware juice to work faster.

Very nice product, I'm this close to complete testing. With Turbo.264 support, you'll have my credit card in your desk by morning

We are definitely interested in adding this feature. It will not be there however before version 1.8 comes out. And first we have 1.7.9 and 1.7.10 planned. I am sorry I cannot go into more detail at the moment.

Elgato Turbo.264 will be supported in VideoDrive 1.9. We will release a beta version later this week.
