VD placing imported videos into "Home Videos" folder, no metadata

Post  heckcf10 on Mon Apr 29, 2013 3:17 pm

I have version 2.7.04 and since I updated VD to this version the following happens:

I'm importing videos directly into iTunes.

Everything happens as it should until the process is finished, then my videos do not have metadata, and for whatever reason they are in a folder within my iTunes media folder called "home videos". I checked all the settings, made sure the directory settings are as they should be, restarted both the program and my macbook and nothing is helping. I have been using this program for over 2 years and never had much issue. I'm importing mainly mp4 and m4v files. Happens with both file types. I have tried reinstalling the program too but I don't think I'm completely uninstalling the original.

Any help would be appreciated.

Apple has changed the behaviour of iTunes 11: by default, all videos are now added to the Home Videos Folder.
Additionally, a performance bug causes VideoDrive to timeout and fail to save the metadata (which would move the files to the Movies or TV Shows sections)

We have a fix available in version 2.7.05 beta 3 and higher: http://www.aroona.net/VideoDrive/Beta.html

Please report back if you have another issue.
