HandbrakeCLI Error in 2.7.03 and 2.7.04

Post  ianpaton on Fri Apr 12, 2013 6:03 pm

I just upgraded to the lastest version as i have been experience a few issues with duplicating itunes video's with videodrive lately

My issue is that HandbrakeCLI is crashing and popping up with the standard mac email apple something died screen

I am currently converting all my of videos that were originally added with method 4, they are being duplicated with method 5 with handbrake.

for the last few week thing have been going fairly smoothly (100's of videos converted), however in the last few days i have been getting errors. i believe i updated videodrive last weeks (not sure what the old version was)

the error appears to be the destination directory of the video being created namely /Users/redacted/(Movies/, see log below
however this error is not consistant. eg
- some videos work perfectly
- sometimes a video will fail, after restarting itunes & videodrive it now works
- large(10) selections of video may ALL fail in bulk but if i re-run a 2 batches of 5 videos they all work
- When running selection of videos ALL work or ALL fail. no 50/50 scenarios

I have tested this is 2.7.03 and 04

in case it matters, i have itunes set to keep movies organised and overridden the default folder to that of an external AFP NAS.
videodrive has been configured use itunes media folder with "save this location" enabled, and "create files on the primary first and move them afterward" enabled.

also as a minor issue, when duplicating videos with that contain periods(.) the final . and all text after it in the title is being stripped, tested 2.7.03 only

attached is the VideoDrive_HandbrakeCLI.log file

Hi, the (Movie indeed seems weird. Is 'Redacted' the folder you have specified in the File Location tab of Preferences? And VideoDrive should create a subfolder Movies in it?
