Metadata import failure on Revolution

Post  dankohn on Fri Oct 05, 2012 10:16 pm

Could you please fix your metadata parser to take into account file names that include the year, such as "Revolution.2012.S01E03.HDTV.x264-LOL.mp4". I've had the same problem with Thundercats. The auto-parsing puts Revolution as the episode name and leaves everything else blank. When I edit the file, enter Revolution as the show name, and season 1 episode 3, and choose search again, all of the metadata loads in correctly.

As a heuristic, if there is a ".2xxx." after the show name and before the episode number, you could either add it as the year, or just drop it.

Thanks!

Yes, I can always fix it manually. But I'm using VideoDrive with a hot folder and looking to get imports working automatically.
