Change absolute path in quicktime reference movie file

Post  Golem2 on Fri Jul 31, 2009 9:35 am

Would it be possible to add the possibility to change the absolute address in quicktime reference file? I'd like to use this reference file on different OS and I can't create this files again (because I have a lot of mkv files and the creation of these files take a long days already for the first time). The second reason is that the source files can be moved.

Thanks

The only way to do this is with QuickTime Pro (be deleting the current reference, and adding a new one) but this is a manual process, so probably not what you want. In the scenario where you want to keep your videos on a separate drive and use import method 2, you should run VideoDrive on each machine individually and let it create the reference files itself.

Support for sharing libraries is something that is on our roadmap, but it will not be for tomorrow.
